8.5 million sold for Vice City
Rockstar held a conference call this morning to outline their current and future financial plans.

Perhaps most astonishing is the word that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PlayStation 2 has sold in excess of 8.5 million copies in just over three months.They expect for sales of the game to remain as strong over the coming months. In addition, they're forecasting that the PC version of Vice City should hit sometime this May.

For the first two quarters of this year, Rockstar believes that their new software will help promote their gains, with the release of Midnight Club II on the PlayStation 2, plus additional titles added to the Greatest Hits libraries on each console. They're also working on ports of Midnight Club II for the PC and Xbox.

Ten new franchises are in development in five separate studios for all platforms, and they should hit within the next twelve months.

Finally, Max Payne 2 is expected out sometime in 2004.
