[Sword 4 Hire]

The Mercenary watches as the once fruitfall and green earth is reduced to a barren wasteland from his attack. Satisfied with his work, yet still unsure of Black Thornn's where abouts, Sword 4 Hire searches the still burning battlefield. Silence dominates the air as the dust comes to a hult, and begins to settle. Suddenly a vibrant light appears from within the darkness, piercing through wreckage. In a matter of seconds the light grows much closer to the Mercenary. Unsure to what it is he quickly lifts the Cross Sword protecting his face. Realizing that the light is his foe the mercenary grits his teeth and watches as Black Thornn's blade comes down upon his. A loud sonic boom is released moments after the tremendous blow was brought down. A sharp pain travels throughout Sword 4 Hire's veins as a different noise is heard. The Mercenary opens his eyes to see his beloved Cross Sword, shattered and raining down upon the earth in a thousand pieces...before Sword could comprehend his loss the energy from the blow picks him up off of his feet and throws him back upon the dirt, sliding...trying to regain his stance but cannot. The force throws him into a nearby tree. The tree shakes and screams as leaves fall from it branches. The mercenary lay still there, his back propt up on its trunk. Dirt and leaves from the collision fall around the mercenary as he gasps for breathe. A small trail of crimson blood runs from his mouth and small cuts can be seen through is tattered shirt. A slight smirk appears from his face as he looks down at his hand...which is still holding the broken handle of his sword.

"Heh..heh...(cough)...heh...the pain is exhilerating really...(cough)...it's too bad that I'll have to pass it to you next...heh heh heh..."

The Mercenary slowly reaches for his pocket, appearing his last Elixer. Sword 4 Hire slowly gulps it down, enjoying every sip from the nurishing nector.

"Time to step it up a notch eh?"

The Mercenary's eyes begin to widen as they stare at his broken handle. His whole body tenses up as he focuses his energy. A strong wind begins to pick up, and the shattered pieces of the lost sword are lifted from the ground. Shocks of elecricity span across the battlefield...picking up every piece like magnets. The broken steel is then transported at once to the Mercenary, and in one great burst of light the Cross Sword his put back together...brighter and stronger then ever.

"Now it's my turn..."
