Xavier's ego comes back to "life" into the body of the man without conscience he had shown to his students during his lesson. If Xavier is back in this form, as Aubrey said, then the same could happen for the Phoenix. Also, it seems like the effect of the vaccine is far from being permanent, as hinted in the scene with Magneto and the chessboard.

I am asking because I was the only one left in the whole cinema, so all those who had seen the movie with me didn't have a chance to see this final scene. So basically, there is "only" one true death in the movie...

I think that everything you've said is very valid. I am angry because I missed that scene (and I remember when the credits came up I told myself to stay till the credits ended to see if there was going to be a scene after but for some reason decided to leave )

I think it would be stupid to make another movie taking off from the point this one ended though. I would consider it anti-climatic.
