Actually Kupo, I believe the junctioning system to be the worst FF system yet and it's very easy to explain why.

Please tell me of any other FF game that penalises you for using magic? You see, you have to junction magic to your stats and the more casts you have, the stronger that stats becomes. So if you then use that magic in battle, your stats drop....

See? Totally counter-productive. For me, FFVIII became nothing more than a series of magic-less battles - not very FF to me!

Of course, different strokes for different folks and all that!
