flickers or garbles?
 

See I have a windows xp, emachines, and I bought a 17' KOGi monitor, flat, and LCD or Plasma. And you see everytime I got to the resolution 1024 by 768 pixels, lines go across the screen, and maybe it flickers or garbles or whatever. Maybe it does this, eplain it well,

See everything on the screen, including the mouse, has black lines, very faint, that goes across the screen. I went to safe mode and changed the res. but still didn't do in 1024 by 768 pixels. 800 by 600 and 1280 by 1024 pixels are fine. It happened when I was connecting to the internet, and I have been having it for a month, and it just did this 2 wks. ago. I called the service plan that I had, and they couldnt tell me, all they said was to plug the monitor in the wall, instead of the surge protector, which didnt work!!! Please, help me if you know how to fix it, I also did the the troubleshooter in settings on display and properties, and it didn't work. I bought this thing at Best Buy, the computer works but the monitor is flickered, i now have to use 800by600, which is big. Please give me advice~
