Eva

Hello people.

I Recently bought the first 4 episodes of Eva and really enjoyed them, so I'm gonna try and buy them all eventually.

I know theres 8 Series DVD's in all, but I was wondering if anyone knew where the 2 movies, "Death and Rebirth" and "The End Of Evangelion" come in to place so I know when I should watch them in accordance to the Series.

Thanks :)

If I understand your question correctly, it's like this :

Death and Rebirth comes after the conclusion of the Eva TV series [coming nearly one year after the release of the last episode ]. The movie also leads into The End of Evangelion, which is the last of Eva.

So yeah, Death and Rebirth first, End of Eva. last.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks, I'll buy the next 7 series DVD's then "Death and Rebirth" Then "The End"... Now I need the money... lol.

I Actually read somewhere that its a good idea to watch Death and Rebirth before the series as it explains things better or something, but I just wanted to make sure with you guys.

Anyone know if there is an Eva Boxset? It's too late for me to buy it now as I've started to buy em seperate, but just wondering, because I love boxsets, (I Saw a Trigun Boxset and Gundam Wing Boxset and I'm serious about buying them one day, together they will cost about £400 or something there abouts :shame: )

I'm not sure watching "Death and Rebirth" first and then the actual series, is a good idea, because it could somehow spoil some aspects of the series.
BTW, it surely is of some help for understanding, but don't think it'll help you to get all the "why and what" of Eva.

I agree that watching the movie before the series could help you understand some parts of the story, but it will spoil it too. Anyway, as Fortune said, the movies are not the "ultimate" explanation for Eva. Some aspects of it are not explained anywhere and you have to watch it many times to have a precise idea.
