Im sure it will be a nice game, but think Square oughta work on something new and ground breaking, for the sake of us game purchasers...

Where did you hear that FF7 was going to be an ACTUAL remake?

I know they did a demo of "IF" FF7 were to be made for the PS3. They just wanted to show the power of it. I've heard nothing of an actual release of the game.

Yeah i think that was all that was also, a demo for the ps3. Other than FF7 Advent Children, the movie which releases early next year here in the U.S. i think thats it on the FF front for a while, but im not in the know as much as i once was.....

well i've never played ff7 but i heard it was one of the best. ffx and x-2 would have to be my favorites because they were the first to have voice acting. we'll id be pretty cool if ff7 was remade then id actually play it but thx for the info anyways i appreciate it.

I'm willing to believe that Square-Enix are lazy enough to fall back on the sure-fire hit of a next-gen remake of Final Fantasy VII. Especially as they've done so much work on churning out demi-sequels for the game recently. Seems to me that a PS3 FF7 would be a sort of crowning glory for the franchise they've made. Not that anything they've for it already has exactly dethroned FF7. Or come within 50,000 miles.

Im looking forward to the release date of Advent Children... I've never played the game but maybe this will give me some insentive to buy FF7. I know the game wont be the best graphics because its a bit older but w/e im more interested in gameplay and storyline. If anyone knows the actuall release date please post so I can get it as soon as possible :S
