Need quick info...
 
I do not know if this is true, but I resently heard that Square, sold FF, to nintendo, I now they are making games of it in nintendo, but selling it, thats mad!!! Have anyone heard about this??

There is a Final Fantasy game coming out on the GameCube this summer - it will be called Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.

However, Square have not sold anything to Nintendo - considering SONY are shareholders in Square I don't think that would be a wise idea considering how strapped for cash Square are.

Unless you see anything on any of the major gaming websites, I'd treat it as what it is - a rumour (which I hadn't actually heard to be honest!).

as i understood, squaresoft aren't really in financial trouble anymore. The movie was the big loser, but last year they pulled everything back despite the massive ffxi gamble.

how about now though? i shouldn't imagine squaresoft have many money worries after merging with enix today...

^ the logo you'll be seeing on your future ff purchases (and yes i'm away that today is april-fools day -> the logo came out on the 29th and the merger has been set for april 1st for a long time)

oh and make sure that among your future square-enix purchases, you have final fantasy tactics advance, square's other nintendo release...

Will..... thats a stress to go, but I heard it from a friend, so a rumor of course, but I didn't believe it at first, but I was curious, so I had to scratch out the truth. T hanks for the info. people.

Yeah, Sony invested about $200,000 or more into square at the begining of 2002 making them like 65-70% share holders in Squaresoft. But I guess because Square and Nintendo have old ties that they agreed to work together...

Anyways, I would hope they dont take FF to Nintendo because it seems to me like they are taking too many solid PS series games to competetors in the market

Yeah, I don't like it either. That's why I wanted a PS2, so I could play games on it that I couldn't play anywhere else.

You see... the point is straight in the face. The Siny Playstation series is a series which incorporated many solo titles such as Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid and well frankly I dont like tosee the competitiros take away all of Sonys solos. I mean some of the exclusives give sony BIG money so they should rwally try to hang onto them as solos.
