I like what I see.
 

So with my 360 Elite being broken and no Best Buy in my area having any I've decided to unbox my PS3 and as the title suggests, I like what I see thus far.

I like the look of the media bar, it's very nice and smooth and doesn't feel cluttered like Xbox 360 Media Blades. The Playstation Store interests me as well, It's not as big as the 360's library of content but it offers somethings better such as being able to download PS1 games, if I wasn't so against credit cards the first Wild Arms would be mine.

I also like that wallpapers and themes are absolutely free, the 360 nickel and dimes you for gamer icons and gamer themes, I'm glad to see that hasn't made it's way here as well. I'm also impressed with how quiet the system is, it runs even quieter then my Wii and I was just playing the DMC4 demo a moment ago, never heard a thing.

I haven't played any of my games for it yet since I just set it up but from the presentation, the abilty to connect to my router with Wifi, and the great potentinal of the store that I like where the PS3 could be. The only thing that is against the system that software wise the PS3 doesn't stack up against the 360, IMO. But with that said I plan to purchase more PS3 games to bulk up my small library, I have plenty of 360 games as it is and from what I heard the PS3's are pretty realiable. My 360 Elite broke screwed up in only six months.

Anyway, there wasn't any point of this topic, just felt like rambleing or something I guess. :P

Also, if anyone here on PS2fantasy has online access and online games like Resistance, I'd be up to play. My PSN ID is Lost_Remnant, I don't have a headset though but might purchase one in the future.

sucks about your 360, are you going to get it replace ?

im already on my 3rd 360, this thing keeps dying on me, lucky i have a extended warranty from best buy. :disgust:

Yes, whenever my local Best Buy gets any Xbox 360 Elites I'll be exchanging it. My Best Buy hasn't been able to keep them in stock with any consistency at all though; it took me a long time to even find the Elite I have now.

I'll be getting DMC4 in a day or two for my PS3 so everything is alright in my world, as long as I have the ability to slay demons I can deal. :P

I'm going to start getting more PS3 games as a result though. The 360 has great games and some kick ass exclusives, but you almost have to pray it doesn't break down on you. I still haven't gotten over the fact it decided to play like crap on me four days after I got Mass Effect and I was extremely hyped for that game. Not being able to play it upsets me beyond all beleif.

The never ending stories of bad Xbox 360's have pretty much turned me away from considering one. Basically im just waiting (yes Moo still) on the ps3 to really enhance their library and then get a 40 gig. But as mentioned, im actually enjoying ps2 right now maybe more than i have in 3 or more years. Its getting the kind of attention it deserves since there isnt anything pc wise to distract me, lol. Glad your having some good experiences with ps3, i have a feeling the 360 has gotten a fair bit of ps3 transplants due to their malfunction probs...
