made up missions ? and dark brotherhood ?

if you go to a site such as gamefaqs.com and read the faq/walkthrough, it mentions a section called 'made up missions' and 'dark brotherhood', can anyone explain to me what in the h-e-double hockey sticks these are ?? are these actually in the game or are they just what they say they are, made up ??
