Necessary Gamecube Titles?
Well I just got a Gamecube finally, which is something I've been meaning to do for a while. I got the package deal that came with Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Master's Quest and a whole bunch of demos, not to mention the game boy player that came with as well. Bwahaha! Circle of the Moon looks pretty good on it so far.
Anywayz, my question is for all you Gamecube freaks out there. What are the absolute necassary games for the Gamecube that I will need to add to my library? Also feel free to mention some personal favorites. Thanks ahead. Go Nintendo!:cool: _RED_ stuff |
That Star Wars Rogue Leader one looks pretty fun. But I've yet to play it so I can't give you an opinion on the quality of it. I've been debating.....a guy at work is selling a cube with rogue leader and eternal darkness. He's asking $175 cdn for the bundle. I'm not too sure.....I was suckered into a N64 with shadows of the empire.....I don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Hi red, you got your self a good machine, I can start off seeing your a horror/survival fan, the Resident Evil series is to your advantage, RE is fantastic, RE0 is really good, but RE2 and RE3 are straight ports, unless you own them on ps1 I would not get them really, but if your a fan GET them, Eternal Darkness is a good disturbing title, acctually at times it can be better than RE, but I like RE a little bit more so thats up to you.
You have a good choice of platform games, mario sunshine! this game is great, I would only get it used now seeing it is quite old title, but it should be in your collection, Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut is always good, but it depends if you're still into that. Metroid prime is a good FPS, infact the best on the gamecube, IMO its not upto Halo, but close, good third person adventure, hitman 2, everyone underestimates this game, its really good! Just name more genres your into and I will know the titles for you. >>>Future Games<<< I would invest in. Great thing you did ..... GameCube actually rocks. Its amazing!.! Well the top titles I would suggest, which you could go with first.....would be:-
1.) Starfox Adventures (What an amazing game, with beautiful graphics and sweet storyline. Gameplay rocks too) 2.) Metroid Prime (Pure Game Of The Year, after playing this, I really do think that "anything" is possible with video games.) 3.) Star Wars Rogue Leader II (As Sleazy mentioned, but I do own this game......and it is as close as you can get to the movie. The gameplay is super tight, as for graphics and sound, its like watching or should I say playing the movie, but the only thing is that "Star Wars Rogue Leader III" is coming out in the future, which would be even better, better graphics and will be two player co-op......so you could wait. Because that would be smoking hot too. 4.) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (I remember, I showed this game to a friend of mine who thought GameCube was an "Ok" system only. And when I showed this game, the one he said was "Holy...this game is a System Seller" and in 2 weeks time he bought the system with this game. Its that GOOD!.! One of the very few games in the market which I could say is "100 %" original. It'll screw with your mind that you might lose sanity. (j/k) 5.) Resident Evil 1 and Zero (I bought the system for these games, I could go on and on how great they are, but if you are not a Survival Horror fan, then I dont know what to say. These games are unbelievable.) 6.) Mario Party 4 (Man this game is CRAZY, and with you friends you can play it like FOR-EVER!.! Its soooo fun and addictive. A perfect party game. I love IT!.!) 7.) Super Mario Sunshine (I wasn't planning on getting this game at first, but I AM SO FREAKING glad that I did. I know some people would say its not what they wanted, but man its excellent. The controls, the gameplay, the graphics, the "woo hoo, its a me". Everything. I started loving mario because of this game.) There are alot more games too but these are the only ones I own and could mention an opinion. Try em. You'll like what you'll play. |
i got eternal darkness and a wavebird controller 2day, really neat stuff, although i havent really gotten into it yet
