This thread is where rpg lovers can rant. Talk about whatever really gets on your nerves in rpgs in general, or just in a specific game. I'll start. One thing I look forward to when i pick up a new rpg is what kind of summoning system it has. Summoning in Tales of Symphonia is the worst I've seen in any rpg. There is only one person in your party that can summon, and the only way she can do it is if she's in her overlimit mode (status granted to you after receiving an outstanding amount of damage, happens about every 10-15 battles, unless YOU really suck yourself). This wouldn't be that bad of a requirement if the summoner character could handle herself in battle, which she CANNOT! Sheena is THE worst character in your party. The only attacks she has are close range and weak(he weapon of choice is a D*** card). I myself have never summoned, NEVER SUMMONED in all of the 70 hours it took me to beat that game :mad: . To me it doesn't make much sense. Why would Namco make it so hard to summon, especially when more than two-thirds of the game is spent hunting down summon spirits in their little temples. Don't get me wrong. I love ToS. It's now one of my favorite rpgs, but come on, an rpg isn't an rpg without the ability to freely summon. Namco f@#$*%up on that note. This concludes my rant. :phew:
