Real answer to the first one ~No the reason vegeta didnt think he was a saiyan is because he knew that goku and him were the only surviving full blooded saiyans.And gohan was also a half saiyan.So by what vegeta knew trunks couldnt be a saiyan[/b]

No MasterRoshi didn't teach it to him, Ithink that he sort of instinctly knew it to a degree he just needed the right guidence to bring it out such as the words

maybe since he was born sayin it takes him shorter time to learn things such as attacks, and Master Roshi did demonstrate it for him when he had to put out the fire atop of The Ox King's palace, he saw it and mimiced it

mimicing is a form of learning though, and had Goku not seen it, he wouldnt have learned it:laugh:
