the actual process, involves using the pokemon red/blu hack when you can multiply items in ur inventory, (cant remember exactly how it went again) you get tonnes of rare candies, iron, calcium (all the stuff that increases stats) you give it 1 rare candy, then as much iron/calcium ect. until it can take no more, then another rare candy and all the supplements, carry on to lvl 99 and you have a fighting machine.

I used that little cheat all the time. Got my guys really good until I broke my Red version.:ghost:

I really liked Pokemon (I played Red), but then I was playing the ROM version ^_^. But seriously, i'm quite looking foward to the GBA version... the Pokemon series appeals to me, and I may finally get a version (though I do hear that they were very minamalist with the sprites etc. :( )

o_o You have to give Pokemon it's due eventually..

My old team was.. (Red version)
Mewtwo _ Level 100
Rhydon _ Level 100
Blastoise _ Level 100 *Was my evolved starter*
Dragonite _ Level 100
Jolteon _ Level 100
Articuno _ Level 100

...Dragon Warrior Monsters was better (In my opinion), but the storyline sucked to it, and it tended to be more repetitive.. >_>

To do the Missing No. code, (To get multiple items), you had to talk to the guy in Viridian City, fly to an area where you could swim to a strip of land and swim up and down it to fight the glitchy thing.. at least, it went something like that. I forget now.

I don't know when it is due out, but one of the colors is ruby(I think). It isn't a whole new series, it's a continuation on the ohters. Also, I don't know If or How it will connect with the gmeboy games.

Both Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are already out in Japan, and will be in the US before Summer. As i understand it Ruby/Sapphire will be another set of games, like Red/Blue/Yellow, to Silver/Gold/Crystal. You'll be able to play as one of two trainers (male and female duh ^_^), and they'll be a whole load of new pokemon and presumably some of the old ones. The link function will allow you to swap pokemon in a similar way to the previous ones, and I believe its possible to swap with the GB / GBC games

nice, i'll get that! would be cool if we could link up GBA's over then net, i'd whoop all yo asses :D

The show and cars game may be gay, but the game is addicting as *%$#. I started playing and the batteries ran out before i turned it off. I came close to beating the game in less than a week.

Deathwatchz Dec 4th, 2002 06:01 PM

From what i heard, the new pokemon is going to have a new 150 or 200 pokemon. and mark0, the rare candy trick does make your pokemon really tough, but giving your pokemon rare candy doesnt give it as good stats as if you level it up by fighting. On another topic, I found out that the children of your pokemon on silver/gold/crystal will have better stats than the parents. I got a lev. 100 male and female typhlosion, got a male and female from them, got them to lev.100, and i now have their son up to lev 94. his stats are better than both of theirs. He's got about 400 hp and kills lev.75 fire type creatures with one hit! It may have been time consuming, and he may be inbred (i got a redneck typhlosion, lol), but he still kicks @##.

mark0™ Dec 5th, 2002 08:47 AM

nice idea on the breeding :D but when i did the rare candy trick i was giving them as much IRON, Calcium all that stuff that brings up theyre stats, i gave them as much as the game would let me between each leveling up, so mines was stronger than a naturally leveled one! Should get two pokemon, male and female (same species) put them on RED or BLUE, use that trick (the lower the strting level the better) once they are both at lv100, put them on SILVER OR GOLD and breed them, that would be interesting :D

Deathwatchz Dec 5th, 2002 08:08 PM

i know about the iron and stuff, but their stats will still be higher if you raise them naturally, because you can give them the iron and other supplements as well. In the end, you get more points when you level them up naturally, and you have around the same amount of supplements that you can give them. My 3rd generation typhlosion stopped being able to take supplements altogether around level 40. it doesnt let you give them supplements afer their stats get so high, and you get more per level without the rare candy trick. I have to admit that levelling them up naturally takes a LOT of time though. I have beaten the elite four on my silver version over 250 times, and red about 150. I have almost 4 times as much time on my game as everyone else i know, yet they all have at least 6 level 100's too. i think ive put in around 300 to 350 hours in on my game, and the only thing i have to show is a very very tough typhlosion, so if you dont want to waste time, the rare candy trick is probably the best way to go.
