u know those pics of snake (mostly) the ones inside the manual
i dont know how to describe them there not 3d oh i know the front cover of mgs2, that sort of picture wot media do u use to draw it.

u cant use pencil or water colours (colors) so wot do u use

Im pretty yoji shinkawa uses colored pencils at least thats what it looks like to me

I've read Yoji Shinkawa (the character designer of MGS games) made them on paper, but then edited those pics with some graphics software. So it's not real watercolour, but CGing :)

Yes, or at least it's what he said during this interview. If you're good at using those softwares, there's not much difference for the eye between real watercolor and CGing .

I think he made a sketch of them before. But I've also read artists like him also use tablets to draw characters.

wot about water color penicils
u know do the pic in colored pencils then go over them with water?
i wont be able to do the graphic computer stuff cause i dont have the program and if i had it i wouldnt be able to do it anyway

You can use normal watercolors and brushes to obtain the same effect. Or special pencils that can be used dry or wet. I think watercolor is the easiest thing you can use. Special pencils to be used as watercolors are kinda expensive :p

Sounds expensive to draw like yoji shinkawa.

i just drew one just using normal graphic pencils and im quite pleased with the result.

im going to do it again using normal water colors

those water pencils, ive got some already there not that expensive the aquelle (sp) pencils
u may be thinking of something completly different and much more proffesional

Yes, I've read the same thing: Yoji Shinawa and his assistants use tablets to make the characters' design and then add color with the PC.
