they're making us pay to play this game!!! i cant believe this........do you have to pay to play on 56k or you have to pay either way, cable or 56k. im glad i have socom for free

Either way you have to pay. I don't see it as that big of a deal cause when you want to stop playing it you just cancle the membership and your character stays saved to your memory card. The first month is free too, so i could be sick of it by then :)

i was mad at the stupid membership payment thing but i heard about the game cards and i think its a great idea. Only 10$ a card and lasts you 30 days.

An excellent deal, considering the cost of server maintenance etc. involved in this kind of games. A MMORPG is a constant work in progress, and the monthly fee is a necessity.

Yeah $10 a month isnt much, either is $2 a month to support a site!!
