My fave is Legend Of Dragoon, but i also liked the FF's a lot too.

I'd have to go with FFVII but that's only because I haven't had a chance to play all the way through Chrono Cross/Trigger

Well, seeing as how any of my top 5 aren't on that list. I'm gonna have to say Chrono Cross. The storyline was great and the soundtrack is amazing.
