Here is a quick guide to getting you Air Borne

»Flying Guide
Well, I'm sure there are some of you out there that may have a hard time flying the helicopter in GTA: Vice City.
So here is an tutorial on what I believe will be the way to fly the helicopter.
I recommend using the analog stick. This allows for maximum movement.

Taking Off
Taking off is easy. Keeping the Craft stable is the hard part.
Also, there are many ways to take off, too. It all depends on your situation. So, I'll give you some scenerios where you have to take off certain ways.

You are in a hurry and someone is coming after you from behind:
Hit the "gas"(X) and at the same time. Point the nose of the Heli down By hitting the ^ on the D-Pad. Or Up with the analog stick.
This allows you to take off forward to get away quickly.

You are still in a hurry, but someone is coming from the front:
Hit the "gas"(X) and at the same time. Point the nose of the Heli back By hitting the Down on the D-Pad. Or Down with the analog stick.
This allows you to take off backwards to get away quickly.
Note: You can turn the craft at the same time. This allows you to turn around quickly

You are wanting to take a nice "Ride":
Hit the "Gas"(X) and let the craft go straight up. Make sure you keep it stablized or you can loose control.

Heading Forward:
As your in the air. Point the nose of the Heli down a little by Pushing the analog stick forward. Or hitting the ^ D-pad button. Not to much though. This allows the Heli to move forward.

Heading Backwards:
As your in the air. Point the nose of the Heli up a little by Pushing the analog stick back. Or hitting the down button on D-pad. Not to much though. This allows the Heli to move Backwards.

Turning:
As your in the air. Push the analog stick to the left or right, depending on the Direction you want to head. Not to much as you could cause the Heli to spin uncontollably. I'm sure Rockstar will allow you to use the Back Prop to spin in a 360º circle.

This is about all you need to know for flying the heli. Landing isn't to hard so I will explain it below.

Special Manuevers:

Landing:
Just like Taking off. There are many ways to land.

Pick a smooth survace to land. I do not recommend landing ona building until you master landing.

For now, I recommend doing a straight down landing. To do this, you need to hover and allow the Heli to go down slowly. When I learn the controls for the Heli. I can give a more detailed landing.

Forward Moving Landing:
The nose is pointed down a little to move forward. At the same time, allow the Heli to go down until you get close to the ground.
Pull the nose up to level off the Heli with ground. Still allowing the Heli to land.

There is no need for a backwards moving landing. Its just dumb.

180º Forward Moving Spin Landing:
Um.............. This is not possible if we can't use the Tail Prop. I'll explain it later if we can.

Stunts:
Stunts will be explained later, depending on the type of Helis we get. I'll explain them if there are combat Helicopters that allow you to do stunts.
