the first RPG that made me like RPGs in general, would have been System Shock II... however before then, I played a PC RPG named "Albion" in about 1998 (my PC couldn't run FFVII - though I did buy it and take it back ^_^)... I pretty much played that game to death for some reason, but looking back at it, its not so great ^_^

Mine was Chrono Trigger also. My cousin was playing it and he finally let me play it...i was hooked instantly! :shock:

If I had gotten to Dragon Warrior I&II before it came out to the Gameboy ColoUr.. I'd probably have been hooked right there.. ._.

Actually.. I think my FIRST RPG (if you count it.. o.O I couldnt tell the story from the dead party members in my team) was Might and Magic II that I bought on a Challenge Pack for my Windows 3.1 (which I'm surprised still werks .-.)

But the RPG that I fell in love with.. was probably Pokemon Red,..
Current favorite is Arc the Lad Collection.. ^^

My first RPG (if that game is a RPG) was Zelda: A link to the Past for SNES. RPG as we know them today, teh first one would have been Mario RPG (right after that, I played, but not finished, one called "Beyond the Beyond" and why I did not finish it, was because right tat the middle of it, I acquired Final Fantasy 7 which blasted that game into oblivion) And FF7 was what finallly hooked me up into many other RPG's for PSX.

If I remember right the first RPG I ever played was Earthbound on SNES. But the game that really got me into RPG's was either Zelda Link To The Past or FFXII. I think Mario RPG was one of my favorite RPG's back in the day.

When I got my Psone, I borowed Final Fantasy IX from a friend and I LOVED it! That game made me an addict to Final Fantasy, to RPG to PSone. I LOVE THAT GAME!!

my first was sme medieval thing for the mega drive which totally baffled me and i didnt play it, but the game that got me started was FFVII. or maybe it was pokemon red, one of those

p.s. pokemon trully is a great game, seriously, they should make a massive effort on a pokemon game for the gamecube.

think about it...i dont think it was FFVII my first rpg..it was secret of mana on the snes(well if u consider secret of mana a rpg)
