Playstation2 in different colors!

I have been seeing that Playstation2 will be in different colors, does that mean that they will have different things in them.
Like one has a special chip in it or something?

Kamari-ice, unfortunately the different coloured PS2's were produced in very small numbers and only released in Japan i think. They made these different coloured PS2's to celerbrate 20 million PS2's sold world wide.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong about his.

And I Think They Were Very Limited In Japan Only!.! Lets See What Happens. May Be They'll Re-Release Them Over Here In The West!.! I'd Then Get The Silver One! :) :D

According to my PSM magazine, Sony plans on releasing it in the U.S. Unfortunately, no date has been set up let. There is no word of it being released in the U.K. however. Sorry.

i thinks its a bit strange anyway im not buying a new ps2 for a new colour.
i know this is a bit off topic but i saw the first advert in the shop window for xbox today, im not sure if im happy or upset. i havent made up my mind if im getting one yet but there on my mind.

I personally think coloured ps2's would be lame. Why not just keep them black ? :confused:

u can get them in the UK
u buy the case and then take ure ps2 to the shop and they fit the case for u
and then u have a coloured playstation 2
have'nt ne of u seen the coloured cases u can buy
just like the ps1 cases

I don't think I'd buy a coloured PS2.
The black ones look nice, because they sort of fit with everything.

I heard that when they were selling the colored PS2s in Japan on the Sony website, it was double the price of a regular model!
