It looks to be a 40 GB 5600 rpm hard drive that will cost about 80 dollars here in the states. Of course, this pricing estimate was make during the time the HD was slated to be only 20 gigs... Im not sure how much it will cost in the states, but it costs over 140 in japan.

It'll be connected on the back of ur ps2 and is about the half the size so it will probably become as heavy as the xbox, you simply install it in your ps2 then install for a game you have, for example, FF11 which is coming out soon, and it will "DECREASE LOAD TIMES DERASTICALLY", realize that not all games you can install this. It'll use "DATA CACHEING" for this. It also features the "ETHERNET PORT" which is where the 56k modem will belong after you buy that which will add another $30 or so, so when it comes to internet play, xbox all the way

Thats not trrue howw come the Xbox does not support modem users not everyone got money ya no.

The Xbox does not support a modem every other online console does. What i meant was not everyone has a Dsl or Cable connection. So they should have made the Xbox have compatible with a Modem.

there is no way the hard drive will cost that much alone. it would not be a good marketing decision, because people would rather buy another system than pay all that money, because you know there will be service charges for using the servers. also, the internet connection has a modem and broadband in one.
