I know most know this, but the PS2 tomorrow? :shock:
Of course this doens't help ME.

Some cool stats on how the PSX sales jumped tremendously when the priced dropped back in '96.

kabuki: i'm thinking the gamecube price is going to drop as well.

Woah, this would be awesome for two reasons... it'd keep Microsoft and Nintendo on their toes, and obviously GC and Xbox would follow with their price drops.

Everywhere I've been hearing from Sony and others that the PS2 will not go down in price because it's selling so well, so why cut the price when you've got a good thing going?

So I'll believe the cut when I see it.... Keep us posted Kabuki

i thought the announcement would be made at E3 if it does go down..i hope the gamecube price falls too.I'm thinking of getting one this June

Today is a very good day to be a gamer.. here's the news i was hoping to find:

"In early April, a senior Nintendo executive told Reuters the company would reconsider its GameCube pricing if Sony announced a price cut, especially to the $199 level."

Sweet! hopefully GC will lower prices by summer... $150 is my guess though... $100 is too drastic.


and also, KAMARI ICE, what are you talking about? It says on playstation.com that the price is now $200. Speak english dude.

Sweet...even though I have one my good friends don't...hopefully they can buy em and we can move on from the PSX discussions we hold everyday

I agree, the selection of software for the gamecube seems scarce. My decision to buy one was influenced mainly from the Resident Evil franchise exclusivity to Nintendo.
